My Dear Maid / マイ・ディア・メイド is an Ero Manga released in 2016 created by Takatsu and published in Comic MILF magazine. Funny thing was that I found this manga randomly while looking through the "Emotionless Sex" tag on the usual sites where I read ero manga, and this manga showed up. It caught my eye because of the woman's tan brown skin and the it having "maid" in the title. I love maids, especially in erotic things like games, manga, anime etc. because I like the idea of having a caretaker like that. I'd be cool with having a maid, as long as they don't get in the way too much. The tan skin was also a big draw because it looks really good on the cover, and especially when in black and white, the grey tones you see on the page look great and helps contrast the characters with more pale skin. Obviously I decided to read it super quick. I expected it to be good, but damn, it was way better than I thought. This manga is fantastic and exceeded my expectations. Now lemme get into it.
The story is about the young kid Reiichi who comes from a super rich family and basically lives in absolute luxury. He actually hates how it is at home because with all these maids around and basically being a spoiled rich kid, it makes him feel way too pampered and that he can't do anything himself. He says the place is oppressive and decides to get the hell out. He moves to a tiny apartment to live in solitude, but then his main maid Dear follows him. Dear has a very straight face and doesn't even feel anything whenever he says something bad about her (she can actually see kinda passive aggressive.) Funny thing is he says he's scared of his own maid. He then goes to school and sees a dude in class get slapped by a girl because he wanted to know if her boobs "were the real deal." And that's when Reiichi's mind clicks and gets the idea to try and harass Dear to get a reaction out of her. He goes home and the first thing he does is just squeeze her boobs a lot to make her embarrassed, but obviously it fails. He even tells her it's an order and she has to let him even if she doesn't want to. But then she just opens her shirt and whips out the boobs! This is when the action finally happens.
The quality of the art fantastic that I just have to share it. Good amount of detail on the skin texture to make it look fappable or something like that.
The action in My Dear Maid is amazing. Not only is everything well drawn with a lot of detail on the clothes, shading and other areas, the sex itself is amazing to read and see. Even if you ignored the context of it, the scenes have a lot of dynamic angles and close ups that really add to experience. Another good aspect to the manga is the dialogue. Usually in ero manga or doujinshi, the dialogue during sex is just kinda there and they always say exaggerated that can be funny. But the stuff that Dear says during the sex can just enhance it and make a page that looks fine by itself be even hotter! During the first sex scene with her and Reiichi, Dear comments on how long it was gonna take him to actually have sex with her. She then has him smothered in her boobs and even teases him with a light handjob and going straight to oral. With the way the panels are done with the different angels and close ups, it can feel like it has motion, especially withe the techniques the artist uses to indicate motion like licking or hip movement. Takatsu knows what he's doing and I gotta commend him for that. One strong aspect of the manga is Dear herself. Throughout most of the manga, when she has sex with Reiichi, she follows his lead, as maids tend to listen to their masters. But she sort of takes it a step further and actively continues to keep the action going with natural transitions. like after using her hands on Reiichi and causing him to spew out, she tells him that his clothes are dirty and she'll prepare a bath. And that bath leads to her giving him more action. She just does what seems to be the next logical step, and she always tends to compliments him during all this. She enjoys the sex and goes out of her way to satisfy him, without him ordering her. She just teases and pleasures Reiichi in wasy even never even thought of, and there's some really good panels I gotta show. She really does live to serve, and does it perfectly.
These are pretty good examples of the types of dynamic angles that you'll see, it just gets better.
Even outside of sex, Dear is cool. She's a straight faced maid that is very loyal and dependable. That's about as maid as a maid can get. I'm happy Takatsu gave her a lot of charm so she could stick out more (aside from the tan skin and white hair) because her character is actually pretty memorable. The type of character that you'll probably think of when having perverted daydreams or if you read anything similar with maid. Dear is just a good character, and it helps that she's always focused on the task at hand and helping him out, usually during the sex. The manga also has a lot of good humor as well. Reiichi's reactions to everything is amusing the crazy situations he gets in are really worth reading. There's even an extremely good threeway scene that I won't ruin but that part is just worth reading. The manga itself is quite long for an ero. Usually these things are short self-contained stories about 10-30 pages or so. But My Dear Maid is about 170 by itself in full or about 200 with the bonus prequel chapter which gives you more context on Dear. Despite her stoic face and calm expressions, Dear does have a weak spot, which Reiichi and her engage in very heartfelt and loving action! I like the dynamic between the two of them, there's a good back and forth relationship between the two main characters. They match each other pretty well. Like when Dear gets back at him for insulting him with a strong handjob in the middle of talking to a classmate, trying to not get noticed. He retaliates by using a vibrator on her while she's on the phone talking to his teacher and has to avoid making noises.
The only problems I have with it are probably nitpicks. I feel like there could've been more variety in the sex. Most of the manga it's just Reiichi and Dear fucking each other, but with nothing extra being added. Aside fro the one vibrator and a later part where Reiichi is blindfolded during sex, not much happens. At least there's a threesome, but still, not too much variety. There's a lot of foreplay which seems good, but it's basically just teasing you until the actual goods are shown, although the foreplay doesn't last too many panels, so it's fine. The way the manga is censored is pretty annoying, completely whiting out the genitals can kinda ruin the fun when you can't even see the vagina or even the detail the artist put into drawing the damn thing. Overall this manga is pretty good and I'd recommend it pretty strongly either to fap to or just to read a go ero manga.
